Just got the e-mail today from Linda that Adobe will come out with PSE 6 for Mac in March. I was and am very excited and pre-ordered right away. I have not contributed for a long time and this is a shot in the arm, so to speak.
Since I have no little children, no little grandchildren or loads of fantastic relatives I often wonder what I can create. I am sure there are lots of topics but I seem to look at all the babies and toddlers and give up. My mind says this is crazy but it seems to be my feelings that get me creating.
I'd love to connect with those who garden, or take pictures in the city, or country and all the ways to create that don't include a lot of relatives.
I will go to the resolution section and add a few of mine.
Thank you all, Janet from Oregon (I am over 65 too)

Oh yeah. You don't have to scrap family. I've scrapped scenery from camping trips, flowers from my garden, a picture of my Bible. There are lots of cool things to scrap that don't have to be people. Think of it as artistic journaling.

Hi Janet, My suggestion to you is to scrap what you love. Do you have any hobbies, a treasured possession or collection, the place(s) you live or visit(ed) or favorite memories growing up. I love taking photos of nature and have used a lot of them for my LO's. No family of your own use your friends family, I do it all the time; LOL and I even have children and grandchildren ( 6 months to 7yrs old ). The sky is the limit and; yes, little kids do make wonderful pages, but so does everyday life.

I did a whole album titled Places In My Heart, and it didn't have very many people in it, just the things I really enjoy, like sewing, scrapping, etc. Scrapbooking is for you to save YOUR memories in a meaningful way.
Hi Janet,
Welcome back! Let's move this thread over to the Inspiration Station in a day or so, because this is a great topic of discussion and I'm sure lots of people will want to contribute ideas.
You can scrap just about anything. One idea is to scrap your new year's resolution. For example if it has to do with, say, exercise or working out, you can use images of your sneakers, maybe a water bottle, or a treadmill, or wherever it is you go to work out.
Scrap your hobbies... photography, scrapping, hiking, swimming, shopping, whatever.
Scrap your values. The things you believe in, and the principles you cherish.
Scrap current events, favorite places, music, art, collections, sports, clubs... the possibilities are pretty much endless.
And scrapping doesn't always have to be sweetness and fun. Some really compelling work I've seen lately has had to do with scrapping serious subjects.
Let us know what you find to do!

One of my goals this year is to scrap favorite poems and verses.
Also, I thought about scrapping my mother, mother in law, aunts and my favorite recipes.

Somehow I did not get notice that there were replies to my posting. I am so thankful that you all cared to reply. So many wonderful ideas, the exercise one is such a novel idea and I just got a tread mill. Bulbs are beginning to push up and birds are all over. I guess I need to get back to the resolutions area and add paying more attention to all the wonderful resources and loving people right here. Janet who will get more joyful!!!!
Sometimes there are precious memories with no photo to go with them. Could just scrap a LO where the journaling is the "photo" or focal point. That way the memory is still preserved.
