Ok here I go. Figure I need to post a hello & then see what I can do!
Hi my name is Jean & I am a computer lover (geek might be too strong!). I am an stamper who mostly makes cards but occasionally does traditional scrapbooking. I always make digital calendars every year ... and this year I decided to really "scrapbook" them. I am total hooked on the digital scrapbooking. I have Linda's first tutorial & love it. I am waiting for the elements 6 tutorial to come out before I purchase the second part (so I have a few gaps in my knowledge).
I am a little worried about what questions one can ask (since I have quite a few). The photoshop elements forum looks like the location for posting -- but it seems very general. Do I ask my how to texture an object questions as well as questions like the difference between Transform & Move? My biggest question is mostly about what "how to" questions I can ask without infringing on the region of Linda Sattgast's business of selling tutorials (which are wonderful!).
On another note ... I am feeling a little confused already. I was looking at the pdf HOW TO GET TO THE WBWT --- I am logged in but I don't seem to see the Scrapper's Guide Events section?
Looking forward to being a part of this community (hopefully soon I can be a contributing member instead of just a sponge!)

Welcome to you too, Jean. I am also a card-maker (over a decade!), and have moved almost completely to digital. Can't remember the last time I used embossing powder or glitter, and my ink pads and pens are drying up!

My next big project is to make brushes out of all my hundreds of rubber stamps. I'm "in school" today (using Patty Debowski's book) learning how to organize the brushes I make and/or buy.

I wrote a long "getting started" reply to SweatPea a couple minutes ago, so I hope you will read that. I can't answer some of your questions, but I'm sure some of the veterans here will respond before long.

Okay...enough stalling. I really need to learn how to organize my brushes! :D

Thanks for your note. I checked out that thread - some good advise in there. I am sure you will find it not too surprising that I have ordered the Digital & Hybrid Scrapbooking & Card-Making with Photoshop Elements -- it was calling my name considering my card background!
I love the premier elements letter -- if money was no object I would buy every backissue!
Thanks also for your organizational tips. It is always best to start off with a good system to organize things!

Hi Jean and welcome to SG, you may ask any question you wish, someone will be glad to help. If it is a question and Linda has a tutorial in the store for it, you will be directed in that direction. As far as the archived WBWT, if you are a preimier member log in and you will find them their. If you are not a premier member you can find the tutorials in the store. If you haven't already signed up for the free weekly newsletter I highly recommend it, the same goes for the premier membership, it really is worth it's wait in gold.

So I go looking for the archived WBWT (which even is now evading me with the achronym - but the weekly techniques). I am a premier member -- I am logged in (I think) because I can see the Premier forums - - I just can't seem to find these -- are they in the forum area or somewhere else.
Thanks for helping the daft but eager
Jean

Hi Jean,
You'll find the archived WBWTs on your Premier member page. Log in on the Scrapper's Guide home page with your Premier user name and password. The link for the archived WBWTs is on the list underneath the link to the newsletter.

Hi I am new to all this scrapbooking with PSE. I have used another program by Nova but there is no comparison so I am really excited to learn all this. I have already spent a lot of time reading on this forum and look forward to doing more. Linda's volume 1 training video is great - have been through it once and plan on going through it again. I look forward to participating. Thank you.
