Hi everyone,
Vacation time is almost here! Where are you planning to go, and how are you planning to scrap your memories? Or maybe you have years worth of family vacation photos stashed away on your hard drive.

Now that you have the Travel Album kit from Linda's PSE 6.0 training CD, it's time to get creative!

Let's see what you can do...

Well, I don't have the PSE 6 training CD (just got Version 5 in November and don't plan to upgrade until at least version 7), but this is a year of travel for me...6 or 7 trips. Mostly they will be to visit children/grandchildren, but there will be a few "vacations" as well, so I'm anxious to read this thread....WHEN I RETURN IN TWO WEEKS! Yes, I'm off again...this time a driving trip along the Oregon Coast, into the Redwoods, down to Monterrey, then back up to San Francisco for a week+ with munchkins. Unlike my last trip, I will have internet access in SF, so I may get a chance to get some ideas in the midst of this trip.

Shar (who is desperate for sunshine and warmth)

PS: Any chance the Travel Kit might become available to the rest of us?

Hi ...

This year has already been a busy one for me as in February I went to Amiens in France. Then March was Paris, France ... May I will be taking a trip to Derbyshire, UK. June to Cornwall, UK.

I already have a whole lot of photographs so I have decided that my travel Album is going to cover those 4 trips :)

... well thats what I think at the moment but maybe one I start it will just be too much to cover in one Album.

Other than regular trips to PA and Saratoga Springs to visit our children, we're moving our RV out to a campground where we're going to try to make our "summer home". We've always traveled in the RV before but with the price of diesel fuel, we're going to see what it's like to seasonal camp, sooo, maybe I'll be enthused enough to do a few layouts to highlight these new experiences. I am hoping we like it a lot.

I have over 300 photos of our Extended Family trip around Germany this past August to scrap and I leave for a two week trip across France in about 3 weeks! (My mother and I are driving from Paris to Nice!) I am planning on using Linda's Travel Album kit for my France trip and I've started working on Germany with the April Premier kit, Southern Days, by Teri Hanson! I would have liked to be a little further along on Germany before I leave, but I find that I keep making changes and have a hard time calling a page "finished and ready for print!"

I love doing travel pages. I am still working on my albums from Aug/Sept when we traveled by train in Canada, and then cruised the inner passage in Alaska.
Question? I am still awaiting the cs3 CD. Will this travel be there too, or can you point me to where I need to go.
Thanks.

My nephews are coming to visit in June, so we are planning to go to Chicago, Washington, DC, Maryland and North Carolina. I will use Linda's travel kit for the photos. In November we are also going to Puerto Rico with my in laws. I'll create my own kit for those photos.

We'll be doing a couple of camping trips this summer, and a trip to Oklahoma... But I'm not sure if they're "travel album" material...

Our vacation-trip this year will be to Spain as it was last year too.
We will be there a week, 150 km from Barcelona and I will try to learn take pictures with my new camera(getting next week). I am so excited from the whole thing, the vacation and the coming photos. Hopefully I just will learn to use the camera, I really have not taken photos with a SRL- camera(or what so ever the name for this kind of camera is).
I made last year a quick-made book from the photos in Shutterfly, seems to be I will this year use the kit, which comes with the cd, so nice to get it.
Actually I made scrapbookpages from two trips last year to Spain. I were with my husband in Barcelona already springtime for one weekend. I really liked the city. I think it will be coming our almost every summer visit place in the near future?

Yippee! I can post a message!! Now to try to post a layout.
This travel kit came at the perfect time for me. I paper scrapped my daughter's
honeymoon, and decided to do a digital version as well. I used only elements from the Travel kit and the bonus so that the whole honeymoon will be color coordinated. I used
all of the quickpages, and even designed one template on my own, which is the one I'll try to post. I have 11 pages done, and hope to make them one big book with the proposal, showers, wedding and honeymoon.
Hubby and I are planning an Alaskan cruise this summer, and I already informed him that Ethel (my laptop) and the digital camera are coming, and every day I'm going to scrap the day's events so I don't forget a thing. Unlike our trip to the west coast from about 7 years ago that I remember very little of. And haven't scrapped at all. Hmm, I see a project in my future.

Here's my layout: http://www.scrappersguide.com/forums/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=16426&cat=910

When one of my boys said he had just a fuzzy memory of a trip we took as a family, I decided I needed to do an album on the "Places we've been." Busy scanning old photos and wishing I knew then what I know now about taking pictures!
I too have Elements 5 and upgrading isn't in the plans just now. Will Linda make the travel kit available to the rest of us - I'm in desperate need of inspiration to get started.

Hi 2x2,
Sorry, but at this time, there are no plans to offer the Travel Kit as a separate product. (At least not that I know of!) It's a bonus addition to the Elements 6.0 training CD.

We are continuing our experiment of seasonal camping at a campground about 35 to 40 minutes from our home. We rented the campsite for a month, with the option to stay for the season, which we've done. I added a second layout to the gallery, and a little story of our experiences this week. We are getting to know people from all over as everyone is very friendly and sociable. Here (http://www.scrappersguide.com/forums/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=16654&cat=910) is my layout.

I'm not sure what if anything we are doing this year. That may be a good thing scrapping wise. I haven't been able to finish my book from last years trip to Korea. (http://www.scrappersguide.com/forums/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=792). I work during the day and take evening on on-line courses so I have little time for scrapping. I'm hoping to do as much as I can this summer and still enjoy the outdoors etc.

I also have a trip Wisconsin Dells to do from the previous year. I only did one page. This may be a fun book to use the travel kit for.

Well I'm finding that our seasonal camping experiment is so relaxing and enjoyable I'm really not doing any scrapping at all!! I didn't even take one photo last week which is really unusual. Saturday evening the campground is having a "Easter Dinner" event, bring a dish to pass and they provide the rest, so that should be a photo taking opportunity. The Easter Bunny will even be there, how cute. We're taking long leisurely walks, my husband is using his kayak, and we're both reading voraciously! Am I really mellow? Oh yeah!

Hi,
I just finished a Memory Book of our trip to China in March, 2008. I posted the digital version on my pbase site and would love to have you view it.
http://www.pbase.com/bettypiper/china_trip_memory_book

I used Linda's travel kit for part of it but because of wanting to get it completed for Jerry's birthday last weekend, I cheated and used the smart frames in Elements 6 with a lot of Elements 6's backgrounds. Those worked well and really speeded up the process for me. I may go back and work on the individual pages with more elements later since I have them stored digitally.

I debated about getting the CD because I don't really consider myself a beginner. One of the reasons I upgraded to CS3 was to have paths. I found the tutorial on typing on a path very helpful but I couldn't figure out how to flip the text along the bottom of the circle to be right side up inside the circle on my own. I really liked being able to put a cancel on the stamps (using my photos) with the actual date of the trip through the cave. Although the background paper isn't from the travel kit, all the embellishments are. My daughter thought this was really cool. I haven't learned a lot from the CDs but I have learned some key things that I wanted to know, some useful shortcuts when working with text, and I really love the travel kit so it has been worth while although I'm not a beginner. Cave page is here (http://www.scrappersguide.com/forums/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=16817&cat=500&ppuser=1259). I plan to add another page of photos from inside the cave once I have a chance.

Betty, your China album is wonderful. I cannot believe you put together so many pages so fast. You have some great photos and very nice pages. Looks like an amazing trip.

I just made simple photobook, photos and some texts on sites from the trip and ordered it from Shutterfly.
I was superquick, we came yesterday afternoon from Spain and now the book is already ordered and I was at work today too.. So, no travel kit this year used.
The trip was fine, warm and nice sourroundings to be seen.

I am working with the travel kit to do my first book & have it printed. Need 6 more LO's for 20 pages. Running out of ways to design the LO's.Been looking for multi photo templates to help with my loss of creativity. I have been using JennyB"s tut on making double LO's. Never did that before & love it! Can get the pages to really go together with the elements etc. Now I just read in another post that you should not resize a photo once on the LO.Ouch.I have been doing that.Hope they print out ok

I did it. I made my first album. 21 LO's using the travel kit.I am having a soft cover book printed at Viovo. What a confusing site! Still not sure that my double page spreads will be next to each other. But still I am excited about it.

Finally posted my album from a trip to Germany with my sister and her two daughters. We had been invited for my aunt and uncle's 60th Anniversary. It was a great celebration and reunion as well as first time meeting our cousins children.

I made the album for my niece as a going away gift as she headed off on her own after graduating college and moving to another state. It was 8.5 x 5.5 so I was able to print two up.

I'm really thankful for Linda's Travel Kit and will be using much more in the future. :)

Thank you, Trish. She really loved it. I hope the pictures aren't too small, I wanted to keep them in the spread layout.

Made an exploding scrapbook for my folks (90 years young) of a recent cruise to Asia. Used the standard pages in PSE 7 and reduced the size on each before I printed. Laid it out so the diagonally cut pages contained small elements, and it worked beautifuly. Mom & Dad love it and I'm eager to move on to the travel kit.

Looking through pictures of our trip out west in 1987, I thought I would scrap some of these pictures using the Travel Album. Also, if I scrap a few pages of that trip for myself, I can get the 2 big albums with all the 4x6 pictures in them, out of my closet. I can give those albums to my daughter since she was only 13 at the time. I'll post them all in the travel album gallery.
