When I was home for Christmas I made the glint and diamond brushes. Now that I am back in sunny AZ, I was wondering if I can just put them in my brush folder here. I saved them as PSD files and moved them with my jump drive. When creating them, I just "defined brush" at home, but that is grayed out when I open PSE 7. I may have to make them again. Was just trying to save some time. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to just copy the brushes to a file on your c drive named brushes then when you want to use them you can just hit the little arrow at the top of the brushes menu and tell it to load brushes and navigate to the folder on your c drive where you saved the brushes and click on them to load them into your brush folder, you can just tell it to append the brushes and they will show up at the bottom of your brushes folder. Hope this will help you out.

Hi ...

When you made the brushes from your psd files did you save them into a new set using the preset manager??

I guess I am not sure. I followed Linda's instructions on making them and if I remember, she had us "define brushes"......which put them in the brushes folder......I saved my brush on the screen as a PSD file. There is no .abr file attached that I know of. I know how to put regular brushes in the folder, just didn't know if my PSD file was the same. Thanks. Karen

Hi Karen ...

When you define the brush it just makes a temporary save into the existing brush set and you lose it if you change brush set. If you want to keep it you then need to save it into a new set using preset manager :)

Thanks Wendy....I will make new ones today and try to get them saved in the correct spot. Hopefully I will know what to do when I get to the Preset Mgr. If not, I may be back with more questions. Thanks again. Karen
