Using Shapes in PSE 6

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. When I put a shape on my layout it looks fine. But then when I go to put another shape, same size same everything, the first shape disappears. I'm using the shapes thath are in the program PSE 6.

Hmm. check your settings at the top in the options bar, and make sure you have "new shape" selected or "add shape" and not subtract shape or union shape. The other thing is to make sure you foreground color is different than your background color.
