Default Batch processing

I often save my files as .png or .psd. If you edit them again and save as a .jpg, each save degrades the quality, however some of the sites I upload to for printing only accept .jpg or .gif format and sometimes have file size restrictions. I would copy (not move) the images to a temp directory, and transform file type and/or resize using Elements. I'm wondering how to this with the bridge since I don't use the elements organizer anymore. Can anyone help me?

Here are some things to consider. Shoot Camera Raw whenever you can and then your "digital negative" never ever degrades. Not possible, then the first time you open your image, work with it, and save it psd, immediately make a jpg save from the processed image using save-as command. Open that one, and run it through the save-for-web feature, saving and coding this web-ready, e-mail ready picture to a folder of only the resized low-compression file.

Yes, each time you open a jpg it degrades slightly, but honestly, on a high resolution image it would take HUNDREDS of opening, editing and closing to notice anything at all. I have never had to resharpen any full-res jpg because of too much use. I know you can do the conversion you are talking about in Lightroom, but not sure how to do it in Bridge (I've never tried.)
