“I have always loved art. But seeing how I am too artistically challenged to pursue a degree in Fine Arts, I went for a degree in Art History instead. If I can’t produce art, at least I can appreciate it. Fast forward to the era of digital scrapbooking. This technique was made for me. I can now design layouts with the simple aid of a computer, Adobe Photoshop, and the use of product from the talents of creative designers.
A wise friend once asked me why I scrapbook. I have been married for 19 years and have 6 children. I told my friend that I wanted my family to know how much I loved being their wife and mother. I treasure the memories that we are making together; even on the days that are a little more challenging. For example, one day I discovered it was a dead hamster that was making my little boys’ room smell. I was relieved to know it wasn’t the boys themselves. I actually made a scrapbook page about this incident, after all, aren’t those the moments that we are trying to capture?”
