I love digital scrapbooking because it lets me preserve my memories. Plus, it’s just plain fun to do it on my computer! (And much less messy!!!!)

I love digital scrapbooking because I can do it sitting next to my DH while he is working or watching TV. I also like that I do not have to store anything except on external hard drives which do not take up much space.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this for free! I am just beginning my endeavors into scrapping, and this would be so very useful. I want to leave my little girl with all the wonderful memories she has given me and my husband. What better way than with real software to help newbies like me!! Thanks so very much!!

The video CDs from Scrappers Guide are what got me hooked on Digital Scrapbooking in the beginning (that was back with PSE vs.2) and I have been an advocate of the website and the videos ever since. These videos make digital scrapbooking easy and fun!

Digital scrapbooking is very relaxing for me. I could sit for hours messing with one layout just to get it the way I want it. Storage is also much easier with digital and its green!!

I love digital scrapbooking because it is so versatile. I can change the colours of all my embellishments and papers and there is no mess to clean up. Well not exactly, as it fills up my computer quickly and I have to clean that up instead. But I just love the creativity and I try to do some everyday.

I just began digital scrapbooking this past summer thanks to the training CD I purchased of Linda’s. Now I’m hooked – hook, line and sinker. What a fun way to express yourself and your memories of friends, family, trips and just “whatever”.

I enjoy digital scrapbooking because a photo is a window of opportunity to tell a story and document a moment in time. What better way to support a photo than by adding journaling to state the details of the story. Style and technique may vary, but the underlying desire to tell the story is the common bond. The art of Scrapbooking takes these windows and details and turns them into a time capsule of knowledge for future generations to come.

These moments in time about styles, customs and views of life for the times can show how everyday things in life may still be the same while also showing how things have changed. Listening to the next generation, I see that they have little touch or real connection to the way things were done in say, their grandparents’ day. Here is an opportunity for a lesson to be learned.

These timelines keep all things in order and give a reason for their existence. Their existence branches out to show how you may fit into the picture. A book of scraps can be organized and presented in a way that gives credence to the aforementioned scrapbook. Passing on this legacy is a gift to those who follow.

There are gratifying moments when I realize that time is forever and memories that are documented can also be forever timeless. These are the reasons why I scrapbook.

Traditional paper scrapbooking is too overwhelming for me (and expensive to boot). I like being able to use existing templates to create pages and not being limited to using just what I have on hand.

I have just discovered the joys of digital scrapbooking , hey no more glue no more wasted paper. The joy of dragging and deleting and being able to manipulate, distress, tear, delete and start again ! I have a MAC and have just invested in Photoshop Elements 8 so a whole new world has just opened up to me but where do I start ? I am one of those people who just dives in but this time I really want to start from scratch and so I would love a tutorial to help me along the way.

Family history is so important to me and having just discovered lots of family albums going back to the late 1800’s I want to catalogue and tell the family story.

I LOVE digital scrapbooking because it is so freeing from the tons of supplies that paper scrapping entails. I was a Creative Memories Consultant for 11 years, and taught many the importance of taking care of their pictures and putting them in books where the stories could be told.
But lugging the stuff around grew wearisome. When I was introduced to digital scrapping I ditched the supplies and never looked back.

I love learning how to make my digital scrapping look so 3-D with shawdows, bevels etc. I am anxious to learn even more with PSE8 and Linda’s training videos.

I teach computer applications at an adult school in my community. The thing I most enjoy teaching is digital scrapbooking to the 50+ generation. This generation certainly has a lot to commemorate and I am so proud to be helping them document history for their children / grandchildren and future generations!

When I was hired for this job I knew nothing about Photoshop Elements – I was in a panick! When I found the scrappersguide site I was hooked. I started with zero knowledge and after purchasing the membership and all the training videos I could get my hands on I now feel confidant and comfortable and I have developped a reputation for “knowing my stuff” which is an amazing accomplishment and one I owe to Linda and her Great Team!

I look forward to exploring your fantastic training about Adobe’s latest PSE8!

If you have another thought in the middle of the night, “I should have done this”, you just go back and change it, no problem! And I don’t have to drag so much stuff out when I just have a few minutes to work on it. I am loving learning new techniques every time I open up PSE. Thanks!

Second, I love being able to buy different things and then alter them to fit what I want to do. Last, becasue I get to scrap without the mess that I had when I was scrapping with paper. All I have to do is close down my computer and my kids can’t get to all of my stuff.

All of my cameras are now digital and photos are on my computer so traditional scrap-booking, although lots of fun, is not so easy for me to find time for. Digital Scrap-booking just seems like the logical way for me to be able to spend a few minutes to share these special moments with fellow workers, business associates, family & friends. Besides with some more knowledge I could use this to present products to customers as well … a picture is better than a thousand words! My primary reason for scrapbooking, which I’ve been doing since I was a kid a couple of decades ago, is that I’m very sentimental about memories (not stuff, just memories; I journal and keep photos, not memorabilia).

I switched to digital scrapbooking because I love the flexibility of changing the colors of elements and my perfectionist self loves the UNDO command.

I love digi scrapping because I can do it anywhere! My favorite time is in the evening when my 2 dogs are curled up on the couch with me in the middle digi scrapping! Digi scrapping is great in every way. You can reuse you items, you can recolor items to match your layout, you can resize you pics without wasting paper and ink. I started about 2 years ago when I was fighting an illness that left me pretty drained and low energy. I could sit and not have to do much moving and looking for things – they were all on my lap! I have never looked back to the paper side of things.

the ease of reproducing. I just finished an album, and printed it 7 times for
my different grandhildren, could have never done that with traditional scrapping. So in 18 months I have made over 100 pages and over 22 albums and had more fun doing it then I ever imagined.

What is there not to love about digital scrapbooking?!
There is NO clean up – no dragging out and putting everything away.
Resizing – cropping – ease of duplicating –
All the available digital designed elements/papers to work with.
The easy at getting to your pictures and putting the story with them before your memory fades or the pictures.
Your tutorials are the best!!!
Like I said – What is there NOT to love about digital scrapbooking!?!

I love scrapbooking my grandchildren and also our trips. I think scrapbooking is an amazing way to record the day to day activities of our lives for future generations and digital scrapbooking really is the way to go. You never run out of products in the middle of a page and your can store so many projects on a DVD. So easy to make pages and share copies with the whole family. My granddaughter does so well on the computer that I plan to teach her how to digital scrapbook. She is only 9 but will love being able to create her very own pages using kits over and over.

Digital Scrapbooking allows me to take the photos my childen (who live 2800 miles away) post on Facebook and create beautiful pages of my granddaughters. These photos are too small to print conventionally, but work great on a digi page. Then I can share them with other family members and friends.

I love digital scrapbooking because it allows me to easily combine photos and words of encouragement for my daughter. My hope is too convey how much she means to her father and I, and how much potential we see in her, as well as documenting different aspects of her life. Right now she is only 6 years old but someday when she is in college, married or in her first home, I hope to give a copy of this album to her so she can have a reminder of how precious she is and how blessed we were to have in our home. I hope the words of affection, admiration and encouragement from her father and I echo on, long after we are no longer a part of her daily life.

After buying pse6 through Adobe, and then through the link on their site, I found your training video, I was off and running in digital scrapbooking! And having premiere subscriptions ever since to add to my knowledge with your tips and videos has made learning so easy.
And as I know Costco has bundled your video with pse last year, I think that ADOBE should get with it and bundle Elements with your video training AND a Premiere subscription to Scrappers Guide, that way every digital scrapbooker would have everything they need to scrapbook their photos!
hmmm I think I will send this message to Adobe too!!!

I’m a newbie and I would love to obtain this software to teach me how to restore a photo of my mother. She has a detached retina and glaucoma in her other eye. She has already been declared legally blind by her doctor; however she can still see just a bit. She has a photo of her that has been deteriorating with time and she asked me to restore it so she could see how beautiful she used to be before she loses her sight completely; she’s 82. If anyone could help me I would be totally grateful.

I have been a traditional scrapbooker for the past 10 years (since my first child was born). I never thought I would switch to digital. But, I tried it, and was hooked! All the free downloads out there reeled me in! No more lugging around huge totes with all my stuff. My laptop and hard drive is all I need. I find that it’s faster, more economical, and produces better results than traditional scrapbooking. YAY digital scrapbooking!

Although I have used Adobe Photoshop for some years
it wasn’t until a friend introduced me to Digital
Scrapbooking that I realised it’s true potential.
Because of poor health I don’t get out of the
house very much but I can keep in touch with
my children, grand-children and great-grandchildren
and love making scrapbook pages of them.

Digital scrapbooking is ideal for folks like me who are without an abundance of physical space, both for scrapping and storage. All the tools, supplies, and even the finished product are stored in a space the size of a computer! It’s also the perfect solution for budget-conscious scrappers because the supplies can be modified and reused over and over again in different ways. No need to run to the scrapbook store for just the right paper or embellishment… it’s somewhere in your digital stash just waiting to be chosen again!

To me, digital scrapping is a way to relive the most important times in my life. To see your life evolve in pictures and journal it is a very intimate experience. I also love the older generations, and recall the wonderful love that was enjoyed by family and friends. To look into a face of a grandmother or great grandmother you never knew and know they are part of you is amazing. Through digital scrapping I have been able to share my families history as well as my life to my four children and 13 grandchildren. Digital scrapping is a media I will always treasure and people like you who are so helpful are truly appreciated!

For almost ten years I had been a paper scrapper. Stuff; i.e., papers, inks, stamps, ribbons, buttons, flowers, etc., etc., was stuffed in every room in my house with no organization. It became a nightmare and scrapbooking was not much fun anymore. Then I came across a mention of digital scrapbooking in one of my magazines. I followed the link on my computer and fell madly in love. No more stuff everywhere except on my computer. I immediately came up with a system for organizing my kits, etc., that is still working beautifully for me today. Now I’m back to having such fun while creating a legacy for my family. Thanks for this opportunity.

Friends tried to get me to paper scrap for years–just not my thing. My standard answer was, “When I can do it on my computer, I’ll be a scrapper.” I have five grandchildren, lots of pictures to scrap, and I love being able to make copies for the entire family. Plus, I always have these wonderful digital backup files if the printed copies ever get destroyed. ;-}

i 1st checked out digi-scrappin’ because health issues forced me to stop ALL rubberstamping and scrapbooking. someone in the ClubScrap community referred me to Scrappers Guide & one other source. then i discovered all the freebies and was consumed by downloading everything i could get my hands on. in dec 08 i did my 1st digi-scrap layout for a forum challenge and i’ve been hooked ever since!!

i enjoy digi-scrappin’ because:
1. it’s SAFE!! (NO latex, NO rubber, NO chemicals, NO adhesives, NO chemicals, ETC!).
2. it provides SO MUCH FREEDOM of expression… to be creative… to “tell a story” through artistic combinations of photos and journaling (sometimes titles are all that’s needed).
3. SO easy to SHARE with family & friends… just an email away!! and since everyone has different perspectives of events, it’s fun hearing the memories that my layouts have triggered for them!!
4. it’s FUN!! FUN!! FUN!!!!
5. the sense of accomplishment that comes when the layout is “asking” for something more & i find that “final touch” that was needed and my mind & body sigh with relief & satisfaction… i’m done, yipee!
6. being able to have that SAFE outlet for artistic expression… all that’s lacking is the energy… when i’m able, i scrap!!
7. discovering new designers! finding those that i absolutely LOVE everything they’ve ever designed… and it’s not just sitting in my treasure trove collection of kits… i’ve USED THEM!!

all the above AND MORE is why i enjoy digi-scrapping :-)
