I have so many questions about digital
scrapbooking!
Will your training CD work with my version
of Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?
Q. What is Digital Scrapbooking?
A. Digital scrapbooking has the same goal as
traditional scrapbooking—to preserve memories with photos
and words in an artistic way. The difference is that you create
your pages on the computer using photo editing software like Adobe
Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
Q. What do I need to start digital scrapbooking?
A. You need a computer, a photo
editing program (I teach and recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements
or Adobe Photoshop) and digital photos. You can either get digital
photos from a digital camera or you can use a film camera and scan
your photos, in which case you would need a scanner.
Q. What size pages can I make?
A. You can make any size page you want. When you
create your page, enter the dimensions you want. (I teach how to
create pages in my Volume 1 training CD.)
Q. What do I do with the pages after I make
them?
A. You can print your digital pages on photo paper
and put them into a traditional scrapbook album, or you can have
a company bind them into a hard bound book, or you can simply burn
them onto a CD or DVD and view them on your computer or TV.
Q. How do I print my 12 x 12 pages if I don't
have a large format printer?
A. If you don't have a large-format printer you
can burn your page on a CD or flash drive and take it to your local
quick print shop or to a place like the Costco or Walmart One Hour
Photo. All they need is your page in a jpeg format.
You can also temporarily print a 12 x 12 page in an 8 x 8 size on
a regular sheet of photo paper. In the print dialog box under “Scaled
Print Size” change the height to 8 and the width will change
automatically. (I demonstrate how to do this in my Volume 1 training
CD.)
The 8 x 8 size will print just fine using a standard printer, and
there are lots of nice 8 x 8 albums available. Then someday, when
you get a large format printer, you can reprint your pages in the
12 x 12 size and give the smaller size away to a family member as
a gift.
Q. How do I learn digital scrapbooking?
A. I recommend that you start with the free tutorials
on my website to see how you enjoy this new hobby. I have three videos
and a number of web tutorials that you can access by clicking on
the Free Resources button on my home page.
Once you've decided that you want to know more about digital scrapbooking,
I recommend that you purchase The Scrapper's
Guide to Adobe Photoshop Elements, Volume 1, Digital Scrapbook Basics. In this CD I assume
you know nothing about digital scrapbooking, so I take you step-by-step
through everything you need to know to use Photoshop Elements for
scrapbooking.
If you’re really serious about learning digital scrapbooking,
I recommend that you purchase a Premier
Membership first (my advanced
scrapbooking web newsletter) and then purchase Volume 1 from the
Premier Member’s Store, because members get a $10 discount
on Volume 1.
Q. I have so many questions about digital
scrapbooking!
A. I can understand your excitement about digital
scrapbooking, and I know you're brimming with questions! That's
why I created The Scrapper's Guide to Adobe Photoshop Elements, Volume
1—to answer your questions.
There's nothing that will answer your questions better than watching
the tutorials on my Volume 1 training CD in the order I give them
and then trying it yourself.
Because of the amount of email I receive, I'm simply not able to
answer questions that I already cover on my CD, so you're going to
have to trust me on this one. You can do this,
and I will show you how on the CD! It's a small investment to make that will save you
hours of time and frustration trying to learn it on your own.
Here's an unsolicited email from a satisfied customer:
“I have learned more from your CD than I have in a
year of doing tutorials from different websites! Thank you so much!!! I want
as many people as possible to know how great your CD is so they won't
waste as much time as I did! ”
Tess in St. Louis, Missouri
Because I'm asking you to trust that your investment will pay off,
I'm also willing to guarantee that it will. If you purchase The Scrapper's
Guide to Adobe Photoshop Elements from my website, you have a 90
day money back guarantee that you'll either like it or you can send
it back for a refund, no questions asked.
