Q. How can I update my email address?
A. You may change your email address for the regular
Digital Scrapper newsletter by clicking the "Manage Your Subscription" link
at the end of any newsletter.
If you are a Premier subscriber, when you log
into your Premier account there is a link right under the Logout link that says "Change
Password/Edit Profile." You may change your email address and/or
your password there.
Q. Is there a link to back issues of Digital Scrapper?
A. Back issues are available for purchase. Click
here for a list of back issues and topics.
Q. What is the difference between Digital Scrapper and
Digital Scrapper Premier?
A. Digital Scrapper is my FREE monthly newsletter
with scrapbooking news, tips and downloads. Digital Scrapper Premier
is a paid subscription training tool for learning advanced scrapbooking
techniques.
Every week in my free Digital Scrapper newsletter,
I give a brief overview of one of the lessons available in the Premier
edition, but only paid subscribers can access that information by
logging in to the members only area.
To find out more about what is available to Premier members and
to get a free sample issue, see the next question.
Q. What is Digital Scrapper Premier?
A. Digital Scrapper Premier is a web based newsletter, not an actual
paper magazine. In other words, you need to go to a login page on
my website to access the issue. In every Premier issue you get:
- Several video tutorials on more advanced scrapbooking techniques
- A PDF manual with all
the directions written out to make it easy for you to try it yourself
- A full premium designer kit
to download
- Some extra tidbits of news that don't make it into the regular
newsletter.
- Member discounts to the Scrapper's Guide Store. My Volume 1 training
CD is $10 off the regular price and everything else is 10% less
than regular or sale prices.
The videos are the main focus of Premier. Through the videos you'll
learn new skills and techniques, and you'll get fun ideas for what
can be done with digital scrapbooking. And
you get all this for $3.00 per month—less than
the cost of a latte!
Q. How can I get a sample Premier newsletter?
A. Here's
the link for a free sample issue
Q. How do I access the Premier site?
A. You can log
in to the Premier site any time
you want by clicking on the link at the end of the Digital Scrapper
newsletter or the Premier log in link on my home page at www.scrappersguide.com.
Q. I don't see the Premier member's discount
in the shopping cart
A. The Premier discount is accessed with a coupon
code that is changed each month. The coupon code is listed in the
current issue of Premier. Be sure to enter the coupon before checking
out or the discount won't be applied.
Q. I've tried to log in, but I can't get into
the Premier site, or can't remember my login and/or password.
A. It's possible that you may not have purchased
a Premier membership. I have two newsletters. "Digital Scrapper" contains
news, tips, and a set of downloads that are available FREE to anyone
who signs up.
"Digital Scrapper Premier Edition" is a paid web-based
subscription. This has content that is updated monthly and includes
video tutorials, a PDF manual, and a large array of downloads. If
you're not a member yet , you can try
a sample issue here.
If you have paid for a subscription
and can't remember your login or password, go
to the login page, enter your email address,
and click the "get password" button. Your login and password will
be automatically emailed to you.
If you have your login and password and are still having trouble
signing in, please let me know and I'll
work on resolving your login difficulty.
Q. I'm having trouble downloading the Premier video and goodies.
A. We find that most people will have a successful
download if they follow the directions printed in every issue of
Digital Scrapper Premier. The directions are to:
- Right click on the
download link (Mac: Control click) and choose “Save Target
As” or whichever similar save option your
browser gives.
- Choose a location for the download.
I recommend that you create a new folder on your desktop or other
easy to find location where you can keep all your Scrapper’s
Guide downloads.
- Click okay to begin the download.
- When the download is complete,
navigate to the folder you created, and you should find the video
clip or product there.
- If the file is zipped it will need to be extracted
before it is usable. In Windows, right click on the file and choose “extract” or “extract
all.” On the Mac, double click the file.
- If you're still having
trouble after following the above directions, try using a different
browser to download. Try Firefox, available at www.mozilla.com/firefox/, or
Netscape, available at www.netscape.com.
- If you are on dialup and you use a
program to help you manage your downloads, you may need to disable
it when you download Premier products. That's because Premier is
a password protected area, and some download managers aren't robust
enough to handle these kinds of sites.
If you have tried all the above suggestions to no avail, you may
email us, and we will do our best to troubleshoot the problem.
Q. May I order by check?
A. Ordering by check is fine. Here's the link
to the order
page, which you can fill out and mail in. It reflects
the Premier member's pricing on everything. Our address is on
the order page.
Q. I have dialup. Will I be able to download
the large Premier files?
A. Many people who have dialup have successful
downloads. Try starting the download when you plan to be absent from
the computer for a period of time, such as when you go to bed.
Q. My geographic region does not have access
to the internet. Will you send me a disc with the Premier material
on it?
A. The price of the disc and postage, without even
accounting for the handling, costs us more than the price of the
Premier membership. If you absolutely cannot download the Premier
videos and goodies, we would be willing to split the cost of the
postage with you. Email me for more information.
Q. Can I access prior Premier issues?
A. You can purchase back issues in the Scrapper's
Guide Store.
Q. May I suggest a tutorial for a Premier
newsletter?
A. Yes. Send all your tutorial requests to linda@scrappersguide.com.
In most cases, I won't write a personal note unless I have a question.
Please describe the tutorial as accurately as possible.
I may or may not decide to feature your request. If I decide to
feature your request, I will fit it into my newsletter schedule as
I am able, or when it would be the most appropriate.
I generally won't feature any tutorials in the newsletter that I
already use in my CD training volumes.
Q. I tried the sample issue. Is that all there
is to Premier?
A. The introductory issue is a fairly good representation
of what you will receive every month. You get:
- One video with a lesson
in more advanced scrapbooking techniques
- A PDF manual
with all the directions written out to make it easy for you to
try it yourself
- A full premium designer kit to download
- Some extra tidbits of news that don't make it
into the regular newsletter.
- A 10% discount on all products in the Scrapper's Guide Store
and $10
off the regular price of my Volume 1 CD.
The most important part of Premier, however, is not the product
download. Unless you are already a master digital scrapper, you'll
be learning new skills and techniques and getting fun ideas for what
can be done with digital. Learning these skills by watching
a video where I show you how is so much easier than reading it in
a print magazine. Only you can decide whether that's worth approximately
$3.00 per month to you!
